2nd Anniversary Celebrations, October 17, 2009

On Diwali, 2007, Nithyananda Vedic Temple was inaugurated by Paramahamsa Nithyananda. On Saturday, October 17, the 2nd anniversary of the Nithyananda Vedic Temple spectacular celebrations were enjoyed by all.

 

The morning began with Maha-Abishekam of Venkateshwara, Anandeshwara, and Raja Rajeshwari. The Nithyananda Vedic Temple celebrated its second anniversary on Oct 17, 2009. Opened on Diwali, 2007, the temple has become an important center of worship and celebration.

 

The Nithyananda Vedic Temple and Cultural Center is a destination for visitors around the world and hosts a variety of activities including meditation and yoga classes, public talks, and teacher training programs. The temple also boasts the largest deity in the US, Raja Rajashwari. Her name translates as “Queen of Goddesses” and is nearly ten feet tall.

 

The colorful, grand celebrations lasted from morning until late night with events and activities happening throughout the day. Participants, visitors and devotees received blessings from Paramahamsa Nithyananda whose divine presence graced the day's events.

 

The activities included Maha Abishekam, a special Diwali Message, USA Kumbha Mela, Vedic Expo, a special puja, the Lalita Trishati Puja, for Raja Rajashwari conducted personally by Paramahamsa Nithyananda, Maha Prasad, Guru Pratyaksha Pada Puja. At the end of the day, Paramahamsa Nithyananda offered individual blessings to all present.
