January 1, 2009 marked the grand Jayanthi celebrations at the Nithyananda Vedic Temple, Los Angeles on the occasion of Swamiji's birthday. The celebrations began with a grand Temple procession followed by a special New Year's Day archana.

The Temple was the destination for hundreds of visitors who came to enjoy the many festivities at the Temple and to begin the new year 2009 in the sacred space of the only Temple in the United States inaugurated by a living Enlightened Master.

Activities included a lively workshop "7 Clicks for a Blissful New Year", a classical music performance, Maha Prasad, introductory Nithya Yoga classes, and the presentation of Swamiji's New Year 2009 message.
